1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using RAGChat (including our website, local software client, and authentication services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the software.

2. Software License & Local Operation

RAGChat is provided under open-source license terms. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to run and execute the software locally on your personal or organization's hardware. You retain full ownership over all your files, credentials, documents, and generated search indices.

3. Connected Services & Third-Party APIs

RAGChat enables integration with external third-party services such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Telegram, and Discord, as well as AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic):

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account API keys and local credentials.
  • Your use of third-party APIs through RAGChat remains subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those third-party providers.
  • RAGChat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Microsoft, Telegram, or Discord.

4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RAGChat to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Unauthorizedly crawl, scrape, or index content without appropriate rights or permission.
  • Attempt to bypass OAuth security measures or compromise third-party account credentials.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

RAGChat is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
